Terms of Service — Indian Festival Calendar

Welcome! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Indian Festival Calendar mobile application (available on Google Play) and the related website. By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app is free of charge and supported by in-app advertisements. Additional details about advertising and third-party content are set out in Section 6 below.

1. Use of the App

The app is made for a general audience. There is no minimum age restriction, but users under 13 should use the app with a parent's or guardian's consent as required by your country's law.
You are responsible for your device and for any data charges your mobile operator applies.
The app displays advertisements to stay free. Ads are labelled and clearly separated from app features; we do not guarantee that any specific ad will always be shown.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use, as distributed on Google Play under the Google Play Terms of Service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the app except as permitted by law;
Distribute, resell or sublicense the app;
Use the app in a way that violates any law or infringes anyone's rights;
Interfere with the app's operation or attempt to access our systems without authorisation;
Generate artificial or fraudulent advertising interactions (for example, automated ad clicks, encouraging clicks from other users, or tools that simulate ad activity);
Remove proprietary notices or trademarks within the app.

4. Festival Information & Disclaimer

Important: festival dates, Panchang details (tithi, nakshatra, timings) and regional observances can vary by tradition, region and lunar/moon-sighting practice. Information in the app — including calculated dates, muhurat timings and guide content — is provided for general reference. While we work hard for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that the information matches your local tradition or school of Panchang. For religiously significant decisions, please verify with your household, community or trusted source.

The app is also not a medical, psychological or spiritual service. The meditation feature is offered for general wellbeing only.

5. Intellectual Property

The app, including its logo, design, text, graphics, code and data collection, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Trademarks and festival-related cultural content belong to their respective communities and owners where applicable.

6. Third-Party Services & Advertisements

The app uses Google services (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging) and displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Ad delivery, ad content and related data handling are governed by Google's own terms and policies. Advertisements may be personalised or non-personalised, depending on the consent choice you make in the app or your device settings.

Advertisements: we do not create, select or endorse the specific advertisements shown. Ads are supplied by advertising networks, and any offer, product or website advertised is the responsibility of its advertiser. Please use your own judgement before interacting with an advertisement — extra caution is advised with any ad that asks for payments, downloads or personal information. You can report or hide an ad using the options Google provides on the ad itself.

Meditation section — a meditation resource: the app's Meditation section does not provide content of our own; it opens and displays a third-party website about meditation inside an in-app browser. That website is not operated, hosted or controlled by us. Its content, tools, availability and any data it collects are governed solely by that website's own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or availability of that website, or of any other pages it may link to. The Meditation section shares Sahaja Yoga meditation. If you'd rather not use that website's terms, you can simply skip the Meditation section — the rest of the app works independently.

7. Updates & Availability

You may need updates from time to time (delivered via Google Play). We do not promise that the app will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted, and we may add, change or remove features at our discretion.

8. No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including missed religious observances, financial losses or data loss, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app — which is, in effect, zero.

10. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to the app (or parts of it) if you materially breach these Terms or if required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts having jurisdiction where the app's publisher/developer is located.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date; material changes will also be announced in-app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
